I carried out an initial repair to the chimney breast in preparation for the installation of the woodburner stove. The chimney had been damaged and subsequently boarded up with wood which needed to be removed to comply with HETAS regulations. The job also required the erection of scaffolding to safely gain access to a chimney pot to undertake some localised repairs around the chimney. The wall of the chimney was plastered and rendered to create a smooth finish, and the stove was installed. Wall vents were added to comply with HETAS ventilation standards and vent covers can be painted to match the wall if required.
